STAND UNMOVED BY 21st CENTURY STRESS & BE PART OF THE SOLUTION

This psychotherapy is different.  It’s a forward thinking appraoch that takes into account that humans are not just MIND but also MIND, BODY, SPIRIT & ENVIRONMENT.  Therapy that actually works, that actually frees people and does not have you talking about your issues forever – is my passion.  Whether you have been feeling stuck, directionless, confused for years and have tried psychotherapy or different ways to help, or if the issues are anxiety, depression, trauma, fear or low confidence, I have the solution that will save you time and money.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your approach and what makes it unique and powerful?

I follow a model (known as Reach) which is integrative, holistic and person specific. Not only does the approach ‘integrate’ the major psychological theories and approaches (i.e. psychology and traditional psychotherapy) but also integrates critical disciplines which impact on wellbeing. These include: hydrotherapy, diet and nutrition, metaphysics, epigenetics, orthomolecular medicine, neuroscience and neurotheology, to name a few.

By ‘holistic’ we mean that we work within a coherent mind-body-spirit-environment model, which recognises that unless the needs of the individual are addressed in all four of these areas, then health, happiness and wholeness cannot be sustainably achieved.

What we mean by ‘person-specific’ is that although I have a very clear model and approach, we always adapt it to the individual taking the journey. In other words we re not fixed as our model is very flexible and fluid – because we know one size does not fit all.

How long does therapy take?

This has become quite a contentious issue in the world of counselling and psychotherapy because increasingly there has been a movement towards shorter therapy. And although there is some good clinical evidence that short-term intervention can work with some clients in some situations, there is also plenty of evidence that there are some clients who need something more longer term.

We don’t believe in timescales. Experience has taught us that two people can come into therapy, looking for a resolution for their anxiety, and one individual may find their solution in 6–12 weeks and another could take 6-12 months. There are many reasons for this, not least of all the levels of application – some clients and individuals obsessively do the work offered by us and these individuals inevitably get quicker/better results, reaching their objectives sometimes even beyond their expectations.

In addition, we do not believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach because the life-events that have led to one individual’s problem may require greater sensitivity, time and empathy to achieve the desired results. So we do not work to a timetable. We will of course review progress at regular intervals but we are not driven by the clock.

Finally, it is important to say that it is contact hours that should be measured when discussing how long one has been in therapy, not whether it has been weeks, months or years. Someone who may have been in therapy for a year, attending weekly has literally only had two days of therapy, assuming they went for 48 sessions during that time. It is inaccurate to say that you’ve had years of therapy because it’s how much time you’ve actually spent with the therapist that is the measure of how much therapy you’ve had. The time in between is your opportunity to process your discoveries and learning and put what has been recommended into practice – this will have a significant bearing on the outcome.

Do you work with specific issues?

Yes, most people come with an issue, although they often discover that the presenting problem is not necessarily the problem at all. It is often the symptom. That said, here are examples of some of the issues that I work with:

Mindset, relationship issues, purpose, anger, depression, anxiety, confidence building, health issues, self-esteem issues, eating disorders, mental health issues, conflict resolution, panic attacks, anxiety, abuse, phobias.

This is not an exhaustive list. When you first make contact, let me know what the problem is and I’ll  let you know if I can help. It is unlikely, given the depth and breadth of my expertise, that I can’t help, but should that be the case, given the network and contacts I have, I’ll direct you to the best source(s).

I work on a one-to-one basis as well.

I also work with groups of various kinds.  Much of what I do is bespoke and is designed to meet the specific needs of those we’re working with.  These include:

Personal development groups, training groups, issue focused groups e.g. how to remain happy in a crisis, overcoming anxiety, managing anger, raising confidence etc.

All groups are conducted with small numbers (usually not more than 8).  This is because I have found, with the nature of the concerns I work with, smaller numbers ensure the necessary level of intimacy to make them effective.  With some of the training groups I may have as many as 10 participants.

What are your qualifications?

I am qualified to post-graduate diploma level in coaching, counselling and psychotherapy.

More importantly, I am accredited by the relevant governing bodies, which in the UK are BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and NCP (National Council of Psychotherapists), CMA (Complementary Medical Association).

I have additional qualifications and experience in: nutrition, supervision, eastern medicine, coaching and a host of other relevant subjects.

What are your costs?

The Reach Approach that I follow was conceived on the basis of ‘principle before profit’ and that philosophy has never waned. Even though I’ve enjoyed great expansion I continue to have a ‘conscience driven’ approach, which means I put the value of the person ahead of financial gain.

Costs vary depending on the level of support required, please email hema@hemaneer.com and let’s set up a time to speak and see what work needs to be done.

What I do isn’t magic but it is magical.

I do not make false promises. I use the word ‘work’, which implies effort. If you are to achieve a sustainable position, where there is peace, confidence and clarity, then you will have to put the effort in for this to be the case.

It is not enough to read books, attend workshops and even to see a therapist because these things by themselves will not bring personal transformation. It’s what you do in practice that’s going to make the difference. Intentions alone count for very little on the path of personal transformation. So I don’t offer magic here, but what I do offer is magical!

You will have to play your part in order to have that experience.

Without playing your part you’ll achieve very little on this path, as you can only get out what you put in. Therapy can’t be ‘done’ to you, it’s a collaboration and a process which requires honesty, courage and most of all application. It is my experience that those who do the work always reach their desired destination. The journey I take you on has worked for thousands of people and they were no different to you.  If they can do it, you can too!

“My session with Hema allowed fresh air, clarity, and direction to flow into my life. I had completed health coaching before but I found Hema’s way of working so deeply nurturing and encouraging.

I had been craving more grace, ease, and joy in my life — alongside a greater sense of lightness, creativity, and sovereignty. I had been struggling with a pervading sense of overwhelm and needed coping mechanisms. I wanted to love the life I have, knowing it was the one I had chosen wholeheartedly.

Hema’s method felt natural to me. And our work together freed me from going around in circles. Since our time together, I’ve made some significant changes and am moving towards a sense of profound calm and delight.”

“My Start Here Session with Hema was a singular experience. Attention, focus, compassion: she showered me with all of this. And her perception goes deep — like, soul level deep. She works not only in the realm of the strategic and logistical, but the mystical and intuitive.

She helped me clear old ways and afterward I felt so much lighter, freer, more able to see clearly how I’d been holding myself back in crucial ways in my life and business.

She showed up with ideas that were unique. There was never a moment where I thought, “Yeah, yeah. . . I’ve heard this a million times,” or, “Yes, I’ve already thought of that.” Her perspective is fresh, inviting, easeful, logical, strategic, creative.

I also LOVED the playful reframe she gave me for one of my most pernicious beliefs about myself. It still makes me chuckle, or even laugh out loud at its absurdity, now that she helped me see it for what it is.

Peace, calm, confidence: these are the internal gifts I received from my session with Hema. Ideas, strategies, wisdom: these are the external gifts I am using to craft the next steps in my health, mindset and life.

We covered a LOT of ground in a relatively short amount of time; Hema is masterful at making the time seem spacious and free-flowing.

If you’re looking for health coaching and mindset mentoring that will speak to the heart, the head, and everything else, look no further. Hema offers the complete package.”

“The surface of my life got so roiled up that I had trouble seeing past it. I’m glad I chose Hema for help in accessing the truth. Immediately, I feel enveloped in the sense of power and light. Hema got to the core of my issues with illuminating, grounded and quite specific intuitive insights.”

Truly Profound Relief

“I booked in with Hema because I knew things couldn’t go on the way they were.  I needed to take back control of my body.  I needed to feel good about myself and be able to reach for my dreams.

I was quite nervous about booking in because I’d already spend quite a lot of money on trying many different things. But I’m so glad I went for it, Hema really knows her stuff and makes you feel deeply taken care of. I felt like I’d landed on gold in terms of finally understanding why I’m struggling with the things I’m struggling with and where I’ve been going wrong and what needs to be done.

The process was great, she sent me a questionnaire before the session which was beneficial in itself in the way it helped me think about me and my life in a way I hadn’t done beforee. The session itself was very clear and informative, Hema shared her screen and showed me the things I needed to know in a way I hadn’t even come across before. There was so much I didn’t know. It was very positive and empowering. The recording of the session was sent to me afterwards. I was able to ask questions and Hema’s customer service was great. Plus I got given things I could get started with straight away and have made some changes that I didn’t realise were key which just goes to show you can’t be your own expert when you have so much to do and there is so much information out there.

It’s been so refreshing, I’m glad I trusted myself and went for it because speaking to Hema has been a huge shift moving me from the wrong path and doing the wrong things onto the right path and doing the right things. She has saved me a huge amount of time going around in circles. I now have certainty about which right things to do, and appreciation of what to avoid. I think a lot of people have systems out there but Hema’s system is clearly not just made up and is actually “a thing” backed up by research and evidence. I see that the things I was trying weren’t holistic at all, they were tackling bits of me and I was doings this in completely the wrong order.

Hema really cares, there were no hard sells, I know how these experiences have been for me in the past, what I would say if you are not really for a very direct and honest approach then you may get triggered but if you are anything like me you’ll learn so much from her. A lot of the things I tried – diets, CBT, counselling, mindfulness, Reiki, hypnosis, I tried a naturopath, I had a personal trainer, EDMR, kineasiology – Hema is also qualified in so she is not invested in one way of doing anything and therefore gives very unbiased advice which just makes sense, i can’t explain it very well but when you talk to her you’ll be like – “Oh my god, this makes so much sense, I can totally get where I want to be I left the session with with hope, positivity and power, clarity … and 2 weeks later all that has increased even more.

So, I highly recommend you book in with her if you need a real expert who genuinely cares about you and your life!
